Pet Rescue of the Month – March

Rescued Pets Movement of Houston, TX

Best4Pets would like to congratulate Rescued Pets Movement as our first pet rescue of the month! Each month we will seek out rescue organizations, spay/neuter programs, and no-kill pet shelters that deserve to be recognized for their hard work and dedication to saving animals.

Rescued Pets Movement is a non-profit organization that transports homeless cats and dogs from Houston to areas of the US and Canada where there is a higher demand for adoptable pets. Since starting their operations in 2013, RPM has successfully saved over 18,000 animals from euthanasia.

The Greater-Houston area has over 1.2 million stray pets roaming the city. Rescued Pets Movement is able to transport up to 160 of these animals each week thanks to a team of volunteer drivers, fosters, and generous donations. Once an animal is saved from Houston’s City Pound it is fully examined and vetted by RPM’s partner veterinarians and placed in the care of a temporary foster home until they are ready to be transported to their permanent home.

If you are interested in volunteer opportunities with RPM visit www.rescuedpetsmovement.org.  Whether you can help by fostering an animal for a short period of time or you are better suited to help with planning and office work, there is something for everyone.

We would like to thank the Rescued Pets Movement team for their constant dedication and support for Best4Pets. We began working with RPM when Best4Pets was just an idea. As a team of animal lovers, we wanted to help local rescue organizations in any way we could. We started by building RPM a new website and getting them a Google advertising grant for $10,000. From there we met more and more rescue organizations across the United States and Best4Pets started to become a reality.

It is now the mission of Best4Pets to help other rescue organizations receive more donations, volunteers, and recognition via online marketing so they can help save more animals. If you know a rescue organization that you think should be featured on our site please email [email protected].
