Located in the former Funkhouser School, the Effingham County Humane Society is committed to serving Effingham County and the surrounding area. Our non-profit shelter is sustained by fundraising, contributions, and adoption fees. The goal of the Effingham County Humane Society is to reduce animal suffering in our county through educating and promoting responsible pet ownership, including spaying/neutering pets, appropriate pet identification, proper pet care, and the quality adoption of homeless pets.
