Abri Veterinary Hospital offers a broad range of professional services. We have an IDEXX in-house lab that runs general blood chemistries, CBC's, electrolytes, thyroid (T-4) and cortisol tests. More complex panels and blood tests are sent twice daily to IDEXX Reference Laboratory in Greensboro. We can access results online as soon as they are posted. Readily having access to a pet's blood work allows for a more timely diagnosis and treatment. We also do in-house testing for intestinal parasites, heartworms, feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency viruses and parvo virus. Pre-operative blood panels are run on the morning of surgeries which allows us to determine the pet's health status more accurately just prior to anesthesia. It also eliminates the need for an additional trip.
