The Nassau Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of homeless animals as they await adoption. The NHS operates an animal adoption center and offers low-cost spay and neuter services in conjunction with First Coast No More Homeless Pets. In addition, the NHS operates the Amelia Island Dog Park, with proceeds going towards maintenance of the animal shelter and care of the resident animals.
